Shining Like Stars: Living as Children of God in a Dark World

This message explores what it truly means to “shine like stars” as described in Philippians 2. While the world chases recognition through success, status, or social media, believers are called to a higher standard—living as children of God. The sermon emphasizes three key ways to shine: unity through shared experiences of God’s love, intentional love and humility in relationships, and adopting the selfless attitude of Christ. By putting others first, rejecting selfish ambition, and choosing gratitude over entitlement, the church becomes a powerful light in a dark and divided world. True greatness isn’t about being seen—it’s about reflecting Christ in how we live, love, and serve.
