Stop Playing the Hokey Pokey With God

James 4 challenges us to examine where our friendship truly lies. We can’t try to be best friends with the world while keeping one foot in our relationship with God. Following Jesus means choosing Him wholeheartedly—submitting to God, resisting temptation, purifying our hearts, taking sin seriously, and humbling ourselves before Him. The world offers an artificial friendship that won’t last, but God offers an authentic relationship that leads to hope, victory, and life. It’s time to stop playing the Hokey Pokey with God and go all in for Jesus.
